OHH Workshop

National Academy of Sciences
500 Fifth Street NW, Washington DC
October 9, 2003

NOAA's one-day workshop began the implementation of the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration's (NOAA) new Ocean and Human Health Initiative (OHH). This workshop, hosted by the Consortium for Oceanographic Research and Exploration (CORE), is designed as an initial step to bring together academic, private sector, and government researchers, to discuss the scientific scope and structure of this exciting and timely NOAA program.

The workshop goals were to develop a research program that explores the role of the oceans in human health, supports NOAA's mission, and ensures maximum integration of this effort within NOAA, across agencies, and with the academic community.

Please see the agenda for details about the workshop.
