Susan Carty's fourth stop in the ACE-Asia
Experiment was in Yokosuka, Japan. In Yokosuka, Susan continued to be involved in this
experiment by participating in an Open House with the Ron Brown,
Friendship Day, and traveled to Iwakuni Marine Corps Air Station and
watch the flight of the
NSF C-130 and Twin Otter.
While onboard the Ron Brown, Susan conducted two
"live" broadcasts. The first broadcast was held
with Rear
Admiral Evelyn J. Fields on Thursday, April 12, 2001.
Admiral Fields asked Susan several questions about her experience
on the ship and how well she was enjoying the journey. The
second "live" broadcast was held on Thursday, April 19,
2001. In this broadcast, Susan communicated with several
schools and government agencies. A streaming video of the
event will be broadcast soon.
